Good comic book artists understand how anatomy works. You can exaggerate proportions, but you need to have an understanding of how the body works. Platt is one of those guys who understood style, but not anatomy. Moondragon could not stand that way and have both feet be planted flat on the ground.

I think both Platt and Leifeld would have served better as inkers over someone who understood anatomy and was a good storyteller, but didn't have a slick drawing style -- Sal Buscema, maybe?
