I'm not a believer in the whole concept of "double dipping" or "triple dipping", to me it's just providing different format choices. If I went to a bookstore and found a nice high quality illustrated edition of "Ivanhoe" I wouldn't complain that they were double dipping because a new paperback edition just came out the year before. To me real double dipping would be if the did and expensive HC Captain Marvel, and then a year later did the exact same version but with a new cover and adding in the few Logan's Run pages.
I think the prime MMW goal is to have as complete a volume as is possible. If that means reprinting MTIO Annual 2 and Avengers Annual 7 for the fourth time then so be it as long as the book is complete for the few fans out there who may not be picking up Warlock, Avengers or MTIO MMWs. I only really have a problem with it when the amount of reprinted material is more than about a third of the book or more. In Captain Marvel's case, volumes #5 and #6 were likely to be thin volumes anyway and there really wasn't much relevant material that could be added to make them more substantial other than add the two annuals.
Not that they need to have it since now it should be a decent sized volume, but I would love to see the Logan's Run pages included volume #6, and I'm hoping that they might be able to dig up some production art for the DoCM GN to spice things up.
