Just finished reading the Ant-Man softcover MW 1. Nice Kirby/Ayers art and a whole bunch of stories I'd never read before.

But it highlighted what I think is the inherent problem shared by shrinking heroes. There are many tasks that they can achieve more efficiently at normal size. Simple things like walking across a room or down a street.
Maybe this is one of the reasons they struggle to maintain a title.

Curiously, a couple of Kirby's covers depicted Ant-Man as a tiny figure rather than a larger one in the foreground. An interesting decision considering how important the cover was to attracting newsstand sales.
