I'd love to see Johnny Thunder, Lawman by Alex Toth.
And then to be followed up by at least one vol. of JT, Lawman by Gil Kane.

I realize that's not the correct title but obviously we can't have "Johnny (Lawman) Thunder" or whaterver other aberrations that've been out there in comics.

Anyway if things are done sort of like that, Toth fans can ignore the Kane vol and vice-versa, tho I suspect that the 'Discerning Collector' of DC would want both.

There've been some sort of misguided writings (Joe Brantacelli?) that implied Kane's western work was inferior to his Green Lantern -- while that may hold some credence for the older material, one look at Madame .44 by Kane & Giella and you'll see a couple of masters at the top of their game -- gorgeous linework.

Once the western genre is done up right with one or more of those books, then it's time for The Vigilante by Mort Meskin. Actually Meskin inspired Toth, so his work should be of at least some interest to Toth devotees....
