As much as I like these books, too many are suffering from editorial gaffes. King Aroo, at least one Dick Tracy, and one of the McManus Bringing Up Father books all had a strip missing. The first Family Circus book (1st print) has "ceral" in place of "cereal" in a caption for one panel. Other publishers like Fantagraphics have been doing strip reprints for decades longer, yet you'd be hard-pressed to find comparable errors. Although NBM's Early Years of Mutt & Jeff repeats 2 strips, later in the very same volume, so LOAC/IDW isn't the only one with troubles.

This sounds like bad carping, but these books carry SRPs of $40 or $50. Buyers should expect more conscientious quality checking. Maybe LOAC's Bruce Canwell can focus better on that rather than spending his time replying to Amazon reviews AFTER the errors have gone into print. Just a suggestion. I spotted the Family Circus error while browsing the book in the store, just minutes in. C'mon, "ceral" (although that wasn't one of Canwell's books)
