That would have been interesting, although I doubt Prentice would have stayed on Batman too long; the lure of a syndicated newspaper strip would surely have been too tempting.

Toth was never one of the true greats in my opinion, and his best days were well past him by the mid-late 1960s. In all I have read about him, he comes across as incredibly sensitive to the slightest criticism or misunderstanding, whether in his own imagination or otherwise, and being friends with him would have been like walking on eggshells, for fear of causing unintentional offence.
