As Commander Benson mentioned in a previous capsule, DC had numerous "semi-imaginary" tales published in the Silver Age. One notable example occurs in this month's Challs story "Sons of the Challengers", where a fortune teller gives the group a glimpse of their offspring in this amusing sequence:

The two "Challenger Kids" stories were some of my favorites from that era.  Curiously enough, the prior month's Batman had a "Batman Jr." story, and next month's Superman had a story about "Superman's Sons."  For whatever reason, the DC bullpen in Fall 1963 was working on next generation stories.  Were the creators--who were all maybe guys in their 40s and 50s who had been at this since the Golden Age--thinking about their own kids?  Maybe not.  I've seen "Mad Men"and I know that the wives raised the kids and the men stayed back in Manhattan to drink and screw after work.

So far as I know, only Joe Kubert's kids went into the comics business.  I haven't seen any Fox Jr., Infantino Jr., or Kahnigher Jr. comics.  Any other second-generation creators out there?
