I also like Elias' work (very much, in fact), but he was not well-matched for Adam Strange, especially following after Infantino's (very) slick interpretation. Elias' style hearkened back to the Caniff/Sickles technique of storytelling. Which was great...great for action, great for adventure strips, great for noir. But not so great for for science-fiction. And, I don't know who was responsible for eliminating Adam's helmet, but it may have been the scripts (attributed by GCD to be mostly by Dave Wood) that really killed the series. If you had been a devoted follower of the series under Schwartz, as I was, you probably found the "new look" Adam completely unreadable.

As far as I was concerned, the Adam Strange series ended with MYSTERY IN SPACE 91. I know many others certainly felt the same way.
