Even at the time I recall thinking  "Huh?! Here the all-powerful Flash looking to bust a tailor?! Here with all these other menaces lurking about he can still spare the time for a fellow who works with needle and thread?" And worse yet, the colourful costumed villains of Flash's Rogues Gallery were one of the things I liked the best about the Flash comic!

So what was Flash trying to do, undermine the success of his own comic mag on the stands and thus put himself out of business?
