Interesting... I may have to take another look at that story...

There were 3 cameos of note this month, the first two shouldn't be a surprise, but the third was quite unusual...

The Legion of Super-Heroes continued to pop up anywhere and everywhere in the Superman family titles... first, Saturn Girl saved Supergirl from a dire fate in "Supergirl's Wedding Day":

...and from this month's "Titanic Boy of Steel" in Adventure Comics (incidentally, the last original Superboy tale to appear in that title in the Silver Age)... if you ever need a giant replica of yourself, well, you know who to call...:

...and finally, a villain named Professor Arnold Hugo had battled Batman about a year earlier. This month, he escaped jail only to run into the Martian Manhunter in "The Man Who Destroyed J'onn J'onnz". In the story's final panel, the Caped Crusader appeared to thank his JLA buddy... the first and only time in the 9 years they appeared together in Detective Comics that the two heroes crossed paths:

"As for contentment, that is a myth.  Give a man everything he wishes and he will be unhappy, because he didn't wish for more; give him more, and he will die of his worries.  Only a turtle, asleep on a sunny log, knows contentment!"
