Thanks Lord Byron! The next immediate figure will be The Black Terror vs. Killer Robot from Exciting Comics #45, followed by Basil Wolverton's Spacehawk. After that, I'd like to to do a horror character or cover homage, but I need to conduct a survey to see what would appeal to collectors, as I'm no expert in this area. My goal is to have the collection cover golden/atomic age super hero, science fiction, and horror subjects. Obvious candidates for future super hero figurines are Daredevil, the Claw, the various Nedor heroes, the Blue Beetle, the Targeteers, and so forth. I'm always open to suggestions and may open a forum where collectors can make their case for their favorite characters. I get a lot of inspiration browsing http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Public_Domain_Super_Heroes, though I do recognize that many of the characters listed there probably don't have a wide enough appeal to justify a 250 figurine production run. The artistic side of me is excited by the esoteric and obscure stuff (like the Blue Flame, a personal favorite), but that is balanced by the fear of having a lot of unsold inventory!

I'm frequently asked about licensed properties; right now I'm focusing exclusively on public domain subjects but hope to eventually build up enough funds to pursue licensed characters. I'm obviously a big fan of Timely/Marvel (the world needs a Blazing Skull Figurine!) but imagine the licensing costs even for obscure golden age Timely characters to be out of my budget. I suppose I ought to formally inquire with Disney to see exactly how bad the damage would actually be!
