I'm getting pretty damn pumped for Warlock. I'm expecting/hoping for some good news on the career front tomorrow, and I decided I was going to buy a Masterwork to help me celebrate and commemorate. Warlock is my obvious choice, because it also helps me support the Marvel Age MW program as it heads into the 70's.

I noticed late last night that it's been moved back a few weeks to 1/24. (sterlling mentioned that as well in a separate thread).

I'm not jumping the gun at all with this question or meaning to be alarmist, but is a two-week delay ever caused by problems with restoration and reproduction?

Here's something potentially geeky: the colors of the variant covers for Dr. Strange V3 and Warlock have put me off the Regular Editions. I usually buy the Regs because they show a larger cover image, but now I think I've changed my mind and will probably be picking up the variants from now on. I LOVE the color of the Warlock variant! It's the same color as his skin, and I really adore how Marvel matches the variant cover color schemes to the characters. That Warlock cover just looks really really nice. (I guess I'd call it butterscotch.) So now I'm also looking forward to amassing a collection of variant-covered BTP's. (My current MW collection is a hodge-podge of most of the original 27, some Comicrafts, and some new Regular Editions.)

At the risk of seeming grammatically challenged, is HIM Warlock? I've never read any of these, and don't know if I'm confusing HIM with Warlock erroneously.

The funniest thing is - I won't be reading this one when I get it, because I like to read the whole Marvel Universe chronology in sequence. I'd be really tempted to read Warlock anyway if it was sufficiently outside of the normal Marvel continuity, but the presence of Hulk issues (the first Bronze Hulk issues MW'd!!!!!) tells me I'll enjoy it more if I wait and read these Warlock issues in the midst of the other eventual Marvel MW's reprinting the same months.

But I am still really looking forward to buying it now, in order to support Marvel Age MW's of 70's material, and I'm going to LOVE holding the book in my hands and staring at that gorgeous Warlock variant cover.
