I've heard that the series can't go monthly. Is that because of the prep time involved in each Archive, and that that time frame would just be undoable, or is there some chance that, in the future, the series could gear up to monthly status if sales remain high?

When I answered your previous question about what I do and design for the series I thought it was fairly obvious that production wise--this is nearly a one man operation--me. With my other design jobs, and I do other work besides the Archives, I would never be able to meet a monthly schedule. As it is I'm maxed out on work.

I don't think the Archives are selling enough to justify that much cost (printing, postage and production costs) at a monthly pace. I also think we'll lose customers by coming out with a $50 book once a month. That's quite a strain on the wallet. Unless the books really explode in sales (and they're doing well, for what they are), you won't see a change in frequency.
