I didn't mean to imply I did 'not' like these Atlas covers, by the way. I've always liked pre-code Atlas (a great deal!), and that cover 'house style' of theirs does carry a certain appeal to me. But, when you look at these "Young Men" covers, I doubt they would have attracted the usual super-hero fan, weened on the bright DC/Fawcett look, any more than they would have been attracted to some oddball Ajax-Farrell item. More likely they were bought, out of curiosity, by the same readers who regularly picked up the familiar-looking Atlas horror/war/western titles. And, a percentage of them undoubtedly regarded super-hero fare as old hat.

Whatever the case, it's a real shame they didn't take off. The stories are brief, but pretty nifty, with attractive art.
