Best sellers?

Well, its likely Patsy Walker WAS one of Timely/Marvel/Atlas's best sellers. She appeared in several titles. But the term "Five Million Readers" is deliberately misleading and was often used in various forms on covers by several companies.

Five million readers is a claim that five million people read the feature. It doens't mean that five million people BOUGHT anything. At the time, comics were passed around from kid to kid and a book selling in the couple of hundred thousand range could be claimed to have a readership much, much larger than its sales. Other titles have claimed similar or GREATER readership on their covers.;)

A. Leedom, President of the Red Raven Revival Society and former sales manager for Lev Gleason's Crime Does Not Pay Magazine, a "force for good in the community" that has more than five million; no, wait; make that SIX million readers."

"Nobody dies forever, this is Marvel!"
