Droid, I really appreciate that post. I know to nauseating detail the publication history of Marvel's silver age, but only a vague sense of DC's. I knew the Flash revival was in '56, so I always assumed that within a year or two that he, Gl, Hawkman, Atom and the JLA were in full swing. Your post really cleared that up, and I can see that while DC's silver age "officially" began in '56, it wasn't really underway meaningfully until the early sixties, and thus didn't predate Marvel's (which did jump into full gear within about two years of FF#1) by that much. Of course, the difference was that Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Superboy, Action, Detective, World's Finest and Adventure all survived through the end of the Golden Age and provided a strong base that the DC Silver Age could expand upon.

Thanks for clearing up what was a misperception for me as well.
