I have mixed feelings about Joe Q. On one hand, I feel like his entrance into Marveldom spearheaded the influx of great creative teams that Marvel has enjoyed over the past several years. Grant Morrison, Brian Bendis, J.M. Straczynski, Mike Allred, David Mack, Joss Whedon, are just several examples of talent that I think would not have worked for Marvel before Quesada. For that, I am grateful and impressed.

What I don't like about Joe Q is his dismissive attitude of the history of Marvel. Maybe I am off base here, but I truly get a sense that he does not care what happened in the past of Marvel, nor does he care if the entire universe is turned on its ear every month!

Now, please don't misconstrue my thoughts as fanboyish, because I really don't feel that I am...most of the time. I don't mind changes to characters, or deaths, or whatever, as long as it is well written. It is a bit frustrating, however, when a well done story, that changes the status quo, is immediately disregarded as soon as that creative team leaves.

I think overall, Joe Q has done more good than harm, but he is a bit arrogant in his delivery and stand-offish with long time customers. And really, that is what we are, customers.
