It was only natural that Bob's talents with rendering the fairer sex would eventually lead him into romance comics, and in 1964, he was instrumental in launching one of DC's first continuing romance features - April O'Day, Hollywood Starlet in Girls' Love Stories:







Bob had a hand in creating another O'Day in 1968, in the hilarious humor feature Angel & the Ape. (I believe at a later date it's established that Angel and April are sisters, although the 2 characters were genres apart - I guess even romance comics weren't immune from retcons!)
