An earlier comment said that Theakston did the art reconstruction on the All-Winners softcover. Since he is also credited in the hardcover, I'm assuming there was no additional work done on this new edition to improve the quality previously available, the same as the GA Torch volume.


I think there's been this expectation that every softcover volume will have some kind of significant improvement over the hardcovers -- I don't think that's always going to be the case going forward (and in most cases, it's probably not necessary, anyway). Clearly, there have been cases where additional work was warranted (and appreciated), but restoration work can be an expensive process, and the trade paperback format isn't going to cover too much of it.
