Batty were you drunk when you posted that? Marvel is the prime example of publishers who refuse to take a loss. If the comics business has been in the red for decades now Marvel would have closed the doors.

I donno man that post was pretty wacky, lots of incorrect, inaccurate and inane comments. You might want to go back and edit it before the rest of the board comes on.

I don't imbibe alcohol, wildlele, but "thanks" for your "concern" in regards to my well-being.

And because you couldn’t figure it out from my post, I’ll explain in again here: I’m actually defending Marvel. The line to which you are referring was only a reaction to what FFF was saying about how Marvel’s MMW success is "surprising" and probably won’t last, which sounded more petulant than professional to me. My reply only played off his usual harangue about how the reprint business is dying an incurable death by throwing out an equally negative “possibility” which, if you'll note, begins with the word “perhaps.” I wasn't stating it as fact. So sad you took it that way.

Kinggirlfriend got what I meant, but, no, to you the comment was “inane." Meanwhile, FFF "guessing" that in the early days of the program at best the regular TPBs printed was 500-750 copies, when it’s printed right on the cover that a limited edition ran 1,422 copies, this is somehow significant content? Or saying that the MMW program is "eroding" and doomed for eventual collapse? I’m not the only one on these boards who’s expressed their being tired of his "expert opinion" and, frankly, rather illogical attitude to take on a board dedicated to classic comic reprints.

And since you're being so selectively candid as to the quality of posts here, wildlele, patrolling the community with well-meaning-but-insulting advice for others to edit our posts and all that ... let’s just say that the only contribution of yours I’ve ever thought worthwhile on this board was when you started this thread on the paperback MMW. Thanks for that. No thanks for all the other typically ass-hat remarks you've made (your latest I've immortalized for you in quotation, no charge). Why don't you try taking your own advice sometime?

Aaaaand another "character" has been officially added to the roster of those who make me wonder why it is I bother coming to this board. Fortunately there are only a few, but I think I'm beginning to have my fill of it. And when will I learn that comments like these are just not worth the time and effort replying to?

There, that makes it all better, doesn't it?
