Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I do see a few of them suggested already, but if I were wanting to stay clear of super hero books, would you suggest other books to try? I'll certainly put the hero books on my list, but I've learned, at least with the few books I do own from pre-1960s, I prefer the non-hero books.
