What's wrong with having the same content in a slightly larger, slightly heavier, more durable omni? Emot_huh

That is just your perception!!! I see nothing that this paper or this type of cover to indicate that it will not last as long as the other paper and cover!!! You have any facts to prove your perception??? My perception is this change is an improvement!!!
Well, his perception matches mine. The new thinner stock is disappointing. I read books very carefully, but I'm reading the West Coast Avengers Omnibus now and sometimes when I turn a page at a "wrong" angle it stresses it and there's a small mark left on the paper because of it. This NEVER happened with the heavier stock.

Furthermore, I tried yesterday reading the omni with an open window, while lying on my side in bed and raising a page. Sunlight was hitting the page and I simply could not read it without placing it back down over the other pages, because the bleeding was horrible. Try it yourself. Take the omnibus next to a window, raise a page and look through it; it's nearly unreadable.

And what's up with all the faded letters in the West Coast Avengers Omnibus? So many 'o's look like 'c's there because part of the letter is faded. I compared it to the originals and there the problem wasn't pronounced. Could it be a side effect of the new stock used? Or is it just a reproduction problem? It's disappointing anyhow.

Also, the boards now are plain boring. If they got away with the textured and die-cut boards, they should at least include full art on them, like in the DC Zero Omnibus.
