No, I don't remember the 6th season, but I did watch something on it last month. For 4 consecutive Sunday evenings, NBC ran 2 hour retrospectives on the show. They were "The First 5 Years", "The 80's", "The 90's" and "The 2000's". I don't think any of them were new, but were made a few years back. These 4 retrospectives were really interesting. I learned a lot that I didn't know.

The 80's show pretty much summed up the 6th season as the series' lowest point. In fact, the network thought it was so bad that they pulled the plug and ended the season earlier than planned. The show was overhauled, the new producer was let go and Joe Piscopo and Eddie Murphy were the only members of the cast brought back.

On a side note, I watched the Bill Murray episode of Biography this week. During SNL's 3rd or 4th season, Chevy Chase came back to host. He and Murray did not get along. Right before Chase's monologue, he and Murray got into a full on fight and had to be pulled apart by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. Bill Murray came from a bit of a rough background and is not someone you would want to mess with.
