After seeing the new thinner paper used in the new Iron Man Omnibus, Id like to know how many of you would like this new paper used on all the forthcoming omnibus (and omnibus that get new printings)?

Me? I love the new paper. Yes, it's thin, but in no way it affects the quality of reproduction or the vibrancy of colors and it does not transparent. And.... it makes a 1000 page book like the Iron Man Omnibus really comfortable to read. It's amazing a book with so many pages can feel so light.

So, yes, I love the new paper, and if some of the heavier omnibus I already own would be reprinted in this new thinner paper, I might purchase them again (I am thinking abouth that mammoth, Simonson's thor, for example).

Your thoughts?

ABSOLUTELY!!! I've been reading the IM Omnibus the last few days and have really noticed how nice it is!!! I now understand why those who say the colors look like they sit on top of the paper or look gaudy in the MM and Omnibus because they now look extremely absorbed by the paper as if they are part of the paper!!! It reminds me of the first print FF and UXM Omnibus!!!

I'd like to add that this paper is soft, supple and oh so easy on the eyes!!!

As far as bleed thru it is no worst than any other paper. I see bleed thru on every book I buy. I think the reason there is more notice is what someone else said about Layton using more negative space!!!

Also, one other thing I noticed. In the last year or so I noticed that the ink on the other paper has left a spot here and there where the ink did not stick to the paper. It has been happening more and more frequently!!! I have not seen one incidence of this in 220 some pages with this new paper!!!

I love this new paper!!!
