You would think that the conventional wisdom would have been to target a more sophisticated audience with the strip, and therefore there would be significant variation, but we'll see.


I tend to think the-path-of-least-resistance probably won out. In fact, I wonder if the writers were actually paid when their work was used in the newspaper strip, or if adapting the comic book scripts was a way to avoid additional expense.

(On an entirely seperate note, I wonder if they'll find a place to include the dozen-or-so sample Captain Marvel daily strips from the 1940s...)
