After I got back into comics in 1998 (after about a twenty year hiatus), it took me the best part of ten years to compile complete runs of Batman, Detective Comics, and Batman Family, from 1964-86, with some of them being quite elusive for a long while (and all the while, I was also completing long runs of many other DC titles from the 1960s to 1985).

Batman comics of the 1970s are among my very favorite comics of all time, but the prices of some of them have gone up alarmingly since I bought them.

When you go for longer runs on titles that old, do you get cheaper reader copies of the books.  At the latest con, I grabbed older Aquaman and Action Comics at good prices for reader copy books.  I find that's all i need for these older books.  What's your take on it Lee?
