I know I'm new to the archives but doesn't Adam Strange have enough material for a fourth volume? Why isn't he on the list. Or do most of the collecting community assume that it will never be released?

As just run-through of the logic behind the list:

* 39 Archive lines are tracked (MAD makes the list 40, but as it's coming off with publication of the 4th volume).

* Of the 39 lines tracked, past DC management considered two complete: Challengers Of The Unknown (all the Kirby collected) and Supergirl. Because there is a wealth of material from those two titles to come, and present DC management is not held to the decisions of the past, two two lines are still considered active. An argument could be made that Kamandi should be struck from the list with the publication of the 2nd Omnibus, but I'm leaving him on for now.

The 11 lines not tracked and why are

* Action Heroes  - An effort to collect Ditko's Charlton work, it is considered complete. There are at least 3-4 volumes left of other Charlton characters, but they are of questionable marketability and it's doubtful we'll see these books.

* Adam Strange - Volume 3 skipped over the poorly-regarded early 1960s run. The remaining pre-Crisis material is limited, and mostly guest apparances in other titles. I'd consider Volume 4 unlikely.

* All Star Comics - The Golden Age is completely collected. There was a short run in the 1970s, that would likely be collected in a new line.

* Black Canary - Considered complete by previous DC management. Remaining material heavily integrated with Green Arrow and very little "pure" solo Black Canary remains from the pre-Crisis era. Rather than double-dip, this material will likely be included in a Green Arrow Silver and Bronze Age Archives.

* Captain Comet - Newly announced, collecting all his Atomic Age material and the first few stories where he's reintroduced in the Bronze Age. The bulk of his remaining Bronze Age material consists of guest appearances and cameos in other books, making a second volume rather unlikely.

* Doctor Fate - The Golden Age is completely collected. The limited amount of Silver Age and Bronze Age pre-Crisis material is insufficient for a follow-up volume, which would likely be a new era line anyway, and it's more likely these Earth 2 stories would be collected with Silver Age and Bronze Age JSA.

* Doom Patrol - The Silver Age is complete. The limited Bronze Age material would likely be paired with the post-Crisis series, and thus unlikely released as an Archive.

* Enemy Ace - Past DC management called this complete as insufficent material remains to fill up a 3rd volume. I've mapped a possibility that includes Balloon Buster and other WWI flying ace material, but like another Adam Strange I consider this unlikely.

* New Teen Titans - Past DC management considered the line complete at 4 volumes, which more or less covered the ground prior to the paperback reprints. With the 3rd Omnibus forthcoming which will cover the ground up to New Teen Titans Archive 9 (under the old mapping) additions to this line seem unlikely.

* Seven Soldiers Of Victory - The Golden Age is complete. Insufficient pre-Crisis material for a follow-up volume.

* Starman - The Golden Age is complete. Like Doctor Fate, insufficient pre-Crisis material for a follow-up volume, which would likely be a new era line anyway, and it's more likely these Earth 2 stories would be collected with Silver Age and Bronze Age JSA.
