I don't think the New 52 changed anything that would attract younger readers or new adult readers. If that was the goal of all this, I think it will ultimately be defined as a failure in that regard.

However, I believe it was a success in increasing interest from people who already bought and read comics and maybe got them to check out DC titles that they had abandoned or never tried before.

For me personally, I consider it an overall success. Although there are some changes that bother me, the Batman line has been great, Wonder Woman and Aquaman given new life, fun stuff like OMAC and Frankenstein gave me a lot of enjoyment, and I'm even warming up to the Titans again after giving them a second chance. Now getting into Earth 2, World's Finest, and maybe Phantom Stranger soon. I knew I wasn't going to like everything, but what I do like has made it worth the trip!
