Do the DC Omnibus editions employ the same producing and printing technology as do the Archives?

Everything is printed in more or less the same way, it's just a matter of what paper you print it on, how you bind it, et cetera et cetera.

The process of digital color separations is the same for everything, as well. The only difference there is in how you get to the point of creating digital separations -- do you have black and white line art? Do you need to create that from printed source material? Or will that step be skipped altogether by scanning the printed pages and reproducing the color, as has been done with some books?

In other words, it costs more or less the same per-page to produce a page of content. It's how you package that content -- In a softcover? In a hardcover? In a 800+ page hardcover? -- that's what changes the equation.
