Probably too late at this point, but I really wish these deluxe editions would've been a bit chunkier. In reality a Fables deluxe edition, on average, has only collected about 3 to 4 issues more than a Fables trade. That might be fine for repackaging a shorter series, but for a title that has 110 issues in the bag and shows no signs of stopping?

I mean, let's say Fables goes to, say, issue 150. At the current pace, it will take about 23 tpb's (6 issues each) and 17 deluxe editions (9 issues each) to collect the whole run.

Not only, are these numbers practically the same (which makes me wonder what's the point), but I'm also worried that the market won't be able to sustain two similar formats. Hopefully the deluxes will last!
