Crumb. I... I just can't find the appeal in Crumb.

Crumb introduced a lot of surrealism, absurdity, and adult themes to a much wider comics audience, building on Harvey Kurtzman's experimental work. Some of his stuff can come across as self-indulgent, but the best of it is hugely influential.
(Personally, I enjoy reading his work in the individual issues much more than the collected editions; maybe this makes a difference, I dunno.)

Of my books, I feel the guiltiest about only reading about half of Will Eisner's graphic novels so far, and I'm way behind on Krazy Kat and Jack Staff.
The one that I've been avoiding is Locke & Key, since one of my writing projects might deal with similar themes, but I need to read it to make sure I'm not doing anything too close to it...
