Inaccessible is such an overwhelming concern. I think the renumbering / reboot; focus on digital; and halting (hopefully for a long time) of mega-events is a step in the right direction.

I agree, there have been small steps, and DC has certainly attracted renewed attention to itself -- but when all is said and done, though, while who is buying what might have changed, it's still, for the most part, that same ol' "who." I don't think that's a sound strategy for the long term, and I'm concerned that neither publisher has the wherewithal to address this.

Are people here really expected that DC should have rebooted their entire line and then written all of their comics so that the average 9 year old kid's over protective mom would not be offended?

Not really, no -- I just think (I just hope) there's a better middle ground than stuff that appears to have been conceived largely to appeal to, say, the mid-to-high range of 25-to-49 year old men who have been reading comics for 5 to 10 years (or more) by now. (And who think the idea of Batman and Catwoman having sex in costume is titillating, rather than stoopid.)
