Just spent some quality time with my new copy and I am quite pleased.

Gotta love the early 70's Marvel - Middlebrow social commentary mixed in with a big helping of downright bizarre imagery.
It's a blast to read and I'm especially fascinated with the story combining non-traditional marriage concepts with suicide bombers...  in 1973! I took it  real serious until I saw those plunger hats that the bombers were wearing!

And because I know everyone is wondering... I compared the Avengers\Defenders war issues from the Defenders volume with this one. Exactly the same except for two things. The colors are a slightly different - a little deeper in the Defenders and skin tones are a little pinker in the Avengers. The covers in the Defenders volume are sharper and have less jaggedness, which is strange since they are certainly from the same files.

With the addition of the FOOM material, the book has enough "new" material to make it a worthwhile purchase IMO.
