I can understand that.  I didn't get back into them until my kid's starting watching them and was surprised at how good some of them were.

If you only try one, I'd strongly recommend Batman: Brave and the Bold -- it's basically a love letter to Silver Age comics with no gruffy voices and character designs mostly inspired by Sprang and Kirby.
