I once asked Gene if he watched the Fugitive, a popular series starring David Jansen that was on TV in the time period Gene was drawing Iron-Man. I was watching the show again on DVD, and the scenes of Richard Kimble walking the shadowy streets reminded me of Gene's Tony Stark scenes. Gene said he did watch the show, usually for the visual images, so the cinematography inspired Gene!
