Wow, what a way to end the Ditko run! Dormammu stages an all-out attack against the Eternity, and at the end of the story both cosmic/mystic entities have disintegrated, even if we are told that "If he [Dormammu] exists at all, it is a disembodied spirit, shorn of mind and will!" In a way it is surprising that Dormammu returns so abruptly, it is almost like Steve wants to finish this one story he started his way. Dormammu's attack on the Eternity is really quite insane, he has no chance of winning, but at least we get some truly marvelous cosmic fight scenes.

If that doesn't blow your mind, nothing will!!

It is kinda funny, our friend Stephen has actually very little to do in this story, it is almost like he is a witness to events beyond even his comprehension. But he gets to free Dormammu's prisoners, including Baron Mordo and Clea! Yes, we learn her name in this issue. So, in a way Steve resets the clock, most of the key players are where they were in the beginning and the most cosmic heavies are out there, or not, depending on what the next writer wants to do. That's Steve being a pro!

Me too. Thank you for the memories, Mr. Ditko.
