My Recent Posts
Well I'm 28 and I'm right there with you on many of those.
I don't own an iPad or smart phone
I have never used an App
Didn't have a smartphone until my parents bought me an IPhone last Christmas. Still don't use it for much other than just phone stuff and the occasional game.
I'm not on Facebook
In my family this has become the hub of family news so that's mainly why I use it (looking up old friends mainly just lead to sadness).
I have never tweeted
Neither have I. Facebook communication is limited enough for me, I don't want a smaller character limit.
I don't own a flat screen plasma TV
Nor do I. Still have a big bulky CRT style. Have a flatscreen computer monitor and I love it though! I had a 17 inch CRT monitor when I was going to College and I got really tired of lugging it up 4 floors of stairs to my dormroom (no elevator). When I switched to a flatscreen I could carry it in one hand.
I don't own a Blu-Ray player
Been thinking about it but don't have one.
I don't own a kindle...I still read books
I do read some stuff online (Project Gutenberg mainly) but I don't have a reader. Just read the first two John Carter books on Gutenberg (before that I was reading through H.P. Lovecraft chronologically).
Half the crap in my car--Sirius radio, Sync, etc.--I don't use and don't miss
The height of technology present in my vehicle is a CD player
I've never played Angry Birds
Right with you.
I don't have an iPod
Still here.
I don't own a Wii or Xbox...don't play video games at all (I read
books
)
It's my generation so I loves me some video games. I do have a Nintendo Wii but generally I play on my PC, my gamecube, or my Nintendo 64.
I don't have GPS
Nope, I generally use a map.
I don't have a wireless router...my 10 yr + old IBM laptop is still connected to the modem by cable
Wires all the way.
I still use Explorer
Firefox for me, but sometimes I use Explorer at work for compatibility with older software (though less and less).
I just have basic cable (except when
Game of Thrones
is on)
Have never even lived in a house where we had cable tv. I could get it now but if I want to watch television I just watch it online.
I still buy weekly floppy comics
Haven't bought a floppy in 10+ years. Just collected editions.
I don't have a Netflix account...I go to theatres
I love Netflix. It's let me watch a lot of movies I never would have been able to find at local rentals. On the other hand, sometimes I'm just overwhelmed by how much there is to watch.
I still write paper checks
It's how I pay my bills.
I still wear glasses even tho my optometrist's says I'm a perfect case for RK surgery
I tried going in for contacts once and nearly got into an altercation with the opthalmologist. Quite content with my glasses (and sunglasses).
I still strike pieces of flint together to cook my dinner and sleep in bearskins
Got me beat here.
He who was formerly sonofjesusfreak.
