Personally, I think it would be great if DC went BEYOND the 23 comic book issues and kept reprinting the entire run.


Quite apart from it being unlikely a series would ever reach all that far into the "magazine" era, I'm not sure what the source material for a reprint would be. As far as I'm aware, there's no film to work with, and even if the boards were somehow available*, there would probably be lots of overlays missing stats and whatnot to accomodate. It's not an impossible task, not by any means (Fantagraphics had to do similar work on their Humbug collection), but it could quickly become an awful lot of work for not much of a return.

It's the kind of project that, if for no other reason than the amount of material to be reprinted, is probably better-suited for a digital collection (like this one, or this older one).

*I remember seeing some stuff while I was with DC, but it was by Dave Berg, and thus, it was more or less impossible to determine what era it had been drawn in!
