Two questions, and for now I'm just contemplating up to the end of the Clarement era:
1) Out of all the titles, is there any weak or unimportant material that I can skip without too much regret?
2) Is there anything particularly strong in the Wolverine solo title after issue 10 that I should seek out (considering I'd have to go buy it)?
I wouldn't skip anything up through the Muir Isle saga, but I would slam on the breaks right there.
Uncanny X-Men (Muir Isle Saga)
New Mutants (#100)
X-Factor (Muir Isle Saga)
Wolverine (to the end of Essential Wolverine, Vol. 2)
Excalibur (to whatever issue was contemporaneous to the Muir Isle Saga)
Alpha Flight (#100)

The chronology site is just okay. I wish there was a version that left out all the flashbacks though. It takes a lot more research to figure out all the guest appearances and whatnot.

I think there are a few series worth reading after the dreaded Muir Isle Saga.
Alan Davis' Excalibur
Peter David's X-Factor (though I hated the artwork) - quite funny
X-Men 2099 (I thought it had really good writing)

Could someone post a list of all the mini-series that appeared before the Muir Isle saga? I appear to have lost my list.

Anarchy and Chaos are the natural state of the human race. Civilization is unnatural. It is a whim of circumstance. And Chaos must always ultimately triumph.
