So I've read the two Omnibus volume set of Claremont and Lee with the X-Tinction OHC book in between and then I started reading #281 up to #293 to get ready for the X-Cutioner Song book, but I've run into a problem. It's kind of like a cartoon when someone is running full speed ahead but then runs into some wet cement or quicksand that gets tougher to run through the further you get. That is what reading #281 to #293 is like. I really enjoy #281 to #283 but the issues lose my interest after that and they take a nose dive around #290. I've read about people's opinion of Scott Lobdell but now I've finally realized how his stories don't interest me at all. It's apparent now with Uncanny X-Men and I cringe when I think about what he did with Excalibur, one of my all time favorite books (and when I think of Excalibur I think of Claremont and Davis run from the One Shot through the Cross Time Caper and of course Alan's epic solo run starting with #42). Lobdell ruined Excalibur in my mind. I've read about his take on Starfire but haven't read any of the new Teen Titans issues yet but I think I can safely say I'm not a fan of Lobdell's writing.
