There seems to be a tendency for many of Marvel's "modern re-colored" classic material to have a very brown palette.  The Simonson Thormnibus was a happy exception to this, but this book is a prime example.  There was a re-colored JiM #83 that was published a while back, and the "browniness" made all of the outdoor scenes look dark, as if it were always overcast or dusk or something.  I actually don't mind most of the modern coloring on modern books, but the older material was produced with the expectation of a very different palette than is commonly used today.
