Gil Kane is really firing on all cylinders during this period.  I think you'll enjoy the annuals and a few of the shorter stories too.
Thanks!  I am!  Happy

I've read up through #11 and Annual #1.  Amazing stories!  They really evoke a sense of wonder and awe.  Annual 1 has that long-ago and far-away feel of romantic literature.  I'm really enjoying the relationship between Carter and Thoris.  Lots of devotion there.  Some of the wrist bracelets and belts remind me of Kane & Starlin's Warlock.  Artistically, Carter is like a cross between Conan & Warlock.  Lots of amazing scenery, adventure, battles and intrigue.  This is one of the most enjoyable sci-fi/fantasy comics I've ever read!  I may have to check out the prose novels when I'm all through.  I also like the narration by Wolfman.  A lot happens, and yet lots of details are included.  I'm really enjoying the pacing.  I look forward to the rest of the book!  Smile

My name is Oedi and I soar amidst the stars far from the planet of my birth. I guess this starship is the closest thing I've got to a home now, for I am a refugee and an outlaw. Vanth Dreadstar, Syzygy Darklock, Willow 327, Rainbow and Skeevo are my family. We are revolutionaries. Our goal? To bring an end to the 200 year old war between the Instrumentality and the Monarchy!
