However, it would be a challenge even for veteran SF writers with a grounding in science to figure how a moonbase could survive for two, three, four (more?) TV seasons totally cut-off from support with Earth. Standard TV writers wouldn't have a clue. The show could end up being even more grim and more of a downer than Moore's BSG! You would have to bring in some sort of alien presence, I would think. Someone for the moon colonists to trade with for resources or an enemy they have to fight for supplies.(B) I would just love to see at least one quality space opera or space based show on TV. Surely there can be room for just one? How many police procedures and reality shows can people watch. C'mon, networks, throw SF fans a bone here. We really got spoiled during the nineties when we had ST:TNG, DS9, B5, and even shows like SPACE ABOVE AND BEYOND for awhile, all on the air at once.

My name is Oedi and I soar amidst the stars far from the planet of my birth. I guess this starship is the closest thing I've got to a home now, for I am a refugee and an outlaw. Vanth Dreadstar, Syzygy Darklock, Willow 327, Rainbow and Skeevo are my family. We are revolutionaries. Our goal? To bring an end to the 200 year old war between the Instrumentality and the Monarchy!
