Yes, I definitely think a lot of this depends on the series/comics being reprinted.  The Moon Knight Essential b&w volumes (Marvel) which reprinted that early '80's series were nice, especially those issues drawn by Bill Sienciewicz (sp?!), which really look good in b&w due to Moon Knight's white costume, the fact that most of the series take place at night, and the whole "vibe" of these comics - that being said, I am still waiting for this series to be reprinted in the original full color, since IMHO it looks best that way.

And, the Marvel magazine Savage Sword of Conan that DH is reprinting in the large b&w TPB's looks amazing (of course, these mags. were originally printed in b&w, so that's not as good of an example).
