Ditto, though I have enjoyed more of Eastwood than Wayne.

This thread makes one stop and ponder what it might have been like if the two had made a western together. The tail end of Wayne's career overlapped with the ascension of Eastwood's in the mid-seventies. Would one have played the hero to the other's villain (did Wayne ever really play a villain, it would have been interesting to see him give it a go)?  Or would Wayne have played the safer more commercial role of mentor passing the torch to Eastwood?

Or would it have been just as bad an embarrassing misfire as the Eastwood-Reynolds pairing City Heat
