Ellis starts with 110. There's an Ultimate Collection with his entire run.
As for X-Factor, the new series starts with #1, but there was a five-issue Madrox mini-series that was where Peter David really started it off. The new X-Factor picks up where Madrox left off. Since then, it's been pretty much one long soap opera (in the good sense); very Claremontian in the way it carries subplots along for years. It went to issue 50, then renumbered to 200 and has gone from there.
