First post here at Collected Editions, though I've posted over at IDW's Library of American Comics forum for a while so some of you might know me from there.

I have to agree, the sales numbers on the Yoe Books probably don't warrant a full-blown restoration.  The cost and time involved with such a restoration would not be recouped by subsequent sales.  The choices then become either not releasing the material (due to lack of restoration) or present the material "as is."

Of those three,  I prefer the method that Craig Yoe has decided to go with:  present the material as is.  If you don't really have the money for a really good restoration, I think you're better off simply going the "as is" route and not attempting any sort of restoration.  Just my opinion, of course.

While I prefer the more archival nature of the Harvey Horrors line from PSP or the the Atlas horror reprints from Marvel, I have enjoyed the two artist-focused books that Yoe Books has released.  Having the two original art reproductions was a nice touch, though for completeness it might have been nice to include the finished color stories as well.  It will be nice to compare the finished color stories once they appear in the Harvey Horror line of books to the black and white original artwork presented here.
