It boggles the mind to compare the amount of story delivered in Action and the amount of story delivered in Justice League. Morrison set up a world with environment, character, conflicts in a way that was familiar but obviously different in detail, tone, and mood. I can see Metropolis becoming something like a character in this run similar to how Opal City became a character in the Robinson Starman run. Johns delivered about a 1/4 of it in the same number of pages.

Also, it hit me during the reading of the book, when they showed a rolled-up cuff of jeans, the current Action costume is a farm boy's costume. Don't know why it didn't strike me earlier.

I am mixed on the different time periods in the nDCU. On the one hand, if you are going to start fresh, don't complicate it with bouncing readers around years. On the other, if Action stays five years or more behind Superman and I don't have to deal with crappy cross book storylines then all the better. I think it would be great to have Action stay on a island of its own sending ripples downstream into the rest of the nDCU.
