I decided not to wait and bought:

BAT-WING
MEN OF WAR
DETECTIVE
ACTION

I was really disappointed with Bat-Wing. I love watching movies and documentaries and news reports on Africa, as well as having friends there, so I was looking forward to all the different ways this story could unfold. Instead we get a fairly mundane story which admittedly has a large number of plot points but is all bland aside from a few gory murder scenes and a solid cliff-hanger. I'm not an author but I think I could have written a more compelling story set in Africa. I'll stick with it for a while especially due to the wonderful art but this isn't a good start.

For Men of War I've only read the main story. Wow. I found this to be good, solid storytelling. The writing reminded me a bit of Azzarello with the back and forth dialogue and the action in the background. Rock looks like a great character and there's an interesting mystery unfolding here. I wasn't impressed with the art when I saw the previews but it holds up well and suits the story. Not to be overlooked!

Haven't read the other two titles yet.
