That "My Greatest Adventure" story.
Wow, when I re-read it after 50 odd-years (!!), I realize now how much more in depth this story was (as compared to Marvel sci-fi stories) at that time. As a kid, I just remember the cool art and did not appreciate the story as much (& for an 8 page story, this sure packs a lot of sub-plots into the story; e.g. thieves stealing the sphere).

I always wondered what happened after the alien recovered the ticking bomb (that will ignite the other side of its sun(!)) and returned to its world? Did it go off and blow up the alien's planet? If so, guess the alien was not much of a hero on its own world (although it did save the earth). In today's comic-world, the story would have expanded the criminal's involvement (and perhaps gave us background on how they found it, tension between the criminals), added a chase scene (just how did the police follow the alien- I guess it knocked down a lot of trees and made the pursuit that much easier), and we would have had a sub-plot showing the alien on its planet and how it overcame the ticking sphere and (hopefully) launched the sphere successfully.

Makes you appreciate how much story was packed into 8 pages (actually 7 pages).
